In Search of the Perfect Pickle: Field trip to New York Deli in Torrance

It’s a dilly – or should we say deli – of a field trip! Are you a corned beef connoisseur? A matzo ball maven? A pastrami professor? A chopped liver champion? Join us, as we visit some nearby delis to check out their food, ambiance, and of course, their pickles! You have two dates and two delis to choose from – come to one or both! Benjie’s Deli in Santa Ana, which we will visit in December, was founded in 1967 by Stan Weinstein and is still run by his son and daughter-in-law. New York Deli in Torrance was opened in 1985 to bring a taste of New York to the South Bay. We’ll be carpooling from Long Beach. Please bring cash or a credit card to cover your meal.
