Great Thinkers of the 20th Century

Teacher: Rabbi Robin Foonberg, Rabbi Educator at Congregation B’nai Israel

Join Rabbi Robin Foonberg on an exploration of Jewish Thought and Philosophy during the tumultuous 20th Century. We will consider Victor Frankl and his response to the Holocaust. We will also learn about Rabbi Dr. Byron Sherwin, a protégé of Abraham Joshua Heschel, who explores how we create our lives as a work of art. Finally, we will look at the rise in Jewish women’s scholarship and their influence on Jewish thought in the 20th century.
